At the time that we purchased RIPit's OpenRIP® Flexo with
KOOLKolor™ proofing, KoolToning™ halftone simulator and
PerfectBLEND™ hybrid screening, we had been looking for
over a year at RIP / Workflow solutions that would improve
our turnaround time and quality.
We chose OpenRIP Flexo due to the fact that when we ran
test on real life “difficult” jobs, it gave us the best results.
OpenRIP Flexo is versatile, easy to use and offers smart
features which automate production and increase accuracy.
The RIP drives both our 54” color inkjet plotter and a 44.5”
x 35.5” imagesetter, plus... gives us the ability to see a
monitor preview or output an inkjet proof of ripped files so
we can check die positions, fonts, halftones and traps, even
on our printed proofs. Once a file is approved, the same
exact file is then sent to the imagesetter.
RIPit's Service and Tech Support Departments are great!
If we need them, they are very quick and helpful. After having
this RIP in place and working for several months, it's hard to
imagine how we ever got along without it.
Mark-Maker, founded in 1970, is a prepress provider and
manufacturer of flexographic printing plates and steel rule
cutting dies. Their customers include a variety of printers
from narrow web label, to wide web preprinted liner and
direct print corrugated.
