“All-Star Printing, now in it’s 25th year, ventured into the Computer to Plate arena about three years ago with a
RIPit 2X CTP System. We have since then added RIPit’s KOOLKolor Proofing technology to round out our system and
provide accurate color inkjet proofs as well as press proofs.
We and our customers have been pleased with the results. We use to do mainly one and two-color work. Now we print ®
4-color work that really gets noticed. As a matter of fact, we just won [8] awards from a regional printing association,
including two awards for our 4-color printing. Some of our designer clients believe that the screens printed with the 8 mil
poly actually turn out better than with conventional metal plates. Our pressman love the In-RIP Trapping feature, since
files from outside sources are all over the map on trapping.
We are now looking at adding RIPit’s new AdvancedScan, scan to plate feature, so we can get away from our analog ®
camera when customers bring in hard copy and RIPit's Raster Imposition.
