Our Peace Of Mind Policy
RIP-IT Sports “RIP-IT” Peace-Of-Mind policy is intended to provide financial peace of mind when a RIP-IT Fielder’s Mask is purchased and registered.
HOW IT WORKS:
This policy applies in the event the Registered User is injured as a result of a softball impact to the Defensive Face Guard frame when properly used in a supervised athletic contest or coach-supervised training session, and is limited to injuries to (1) the sound, natural teeth or (2) nasal injuries, limited to (a) a broken nose, (b) a fractured nose, or (c) a dislocated nose.
RIP-IT's obligations under this warranty shall be limited to the lesser of:
For damage of injury to the sound, natural teeth:
- The actual dental expense incurred by the user, up to a maximum liability of $5,000 per covered incident; or
- $500 per injured or replaced tooth, up to a maximum liability of $5,000 per covered incident.
For nasal injuries:
- The actual nasal injury expense incurred by the user, up to a maximum liability of $5,000 per covered incident.
In the event that a dental injury and a nasal injury occur in the same covered incident, the maximum liability for the combined injuries is $5,000.
RIP-IT's obligations hereunder shall be reduced by the amount of any insurance collected or payable for the injury claimed. This policy does not provide payment or indemnity for (1) orthodontic treatments or (2) preparation of a tooth to be used as an anchor for a bridge.
RIP-IT shall have no responsibility or liability hereunder unless all of the following conditions have been met:
- The injury was the direct result of a ball impact to the Defensive Face Guard frame from an 11" or 12" softball; and
- The Defensive Face Guard was fitted by the Registered User in accordance with the printed instructions accompanying this warranty; and
- A complete written notice of the injury is received by RIP-IT within thirty (30) days after the occurrence of the injury; and
- The notice of injury is substantiated by (1) a statement of a licensed dentist (for dental) or otolaryngologist (for nasal) providing necessary medical treatment within thirty (30) days after the date of injury or damage and (2) a statement of a participating game official, if a supervised contest, or a supervising coach, if a practice session, declaring that the registered Defensive Face Guard was in proper use at the time of injury; and
- The within Defensive Face Guard is returned to RIP-IT with the written notice of injury. The Defensive Face Guard unit shall become the property of RIP-IT upon receipt of return.
This policy is made in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranty for a particular purpose and any implied warranty arising out of a course of a dealing, custom, usage or trade. Except as is otherwise expressly provided herein, RIP-IT disclaims all liability for loss, injury or damage based upon negligent design or defects in materials and workmanship for the within Defensive Face Guard.
Keep this peace of mind policy and the store receipt for the registered Defensive Face Guard in your records. In case of injury, mail Defensive Face Guard, store receipt, the notice of injury and accompanying statements to RIP-IT Sports at the following address:

GENERAL DISCLAIMER
NO HELMET SYSTEM CAN PREVENT CONCUSSIONS OR ELIMINATE THE RISK OF SERIOUS HEAD OR NECK INJURIES WHILE PLAYING BASEBALL OR SOFTBALL.
THE RIP-IT PEACE-OF-MIND POLICY SHOULD NOT BE INTERPRETED TO MEAN THAT RIP-IT HELMETS PROVIDE INCREASED SAFETY AS COMPARED TO OTHER NOCSAE CERTIFIED HELMET PRODUCTS ON THE MARKET, OR THAT THE LIKELIHOOD OF SERIOUS BRAIN AND/OR NECK INJURIES INCLUDING PARALYSIS OR DEATH IS REDUCED COMPARED TO OTHER NOCSAE CERTIFIED HELMETS BY USING THIS HELMET. THE PEACE-OF-MIND POLICY SHOULD BE INTERPRETED TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL PEACE-OF-MIND ONLY.
NO HELMET SYSTEM CAN PROTECT YOU FROM SERIOUS BRAIN AND/OR NECK INJURIES INCLUDING PARALYSIS OR DEATH. SCIENTISTS HAVE NOT REACHED AN AGREEMENT ON HOW THE RESULTS OF IMPACT ABSORPTION TESTS RELATE TO CONCUSSIONS. NO CONCLUSIONS ABOUT A REDUCTION OF RISK OR SEVERITY OF CONCUSSIVE INJURY SHOULD BE DRAWN FROM IMPACT ABSORPTION TESTS. TO AVOID THESE RISKS, DO NOT ENGAGE IN THE SPORT OF BASEBALL OR SOFTBALL.

RIP-IT Sports (“RIP-IT”) Peace-Of-Mind policy is intended to provide financial peace of mind when a RIP-IT Helmet is purchased and registered.
HOW IT WORKS:
This policy applies in the event the Registered User is injured as a result of a softball or baseball impact to the helmet shell when properly used in a supervised athletic contest or coach-supervised training session. RIP-IT's obligations under this policy shall be limited solely to the Registered User's actual injury expense incurred by the Registered User; up to a maximum liability of $5,000 per incident.
RIP-IT's obligations hereunder shall be reduced by the amount of any insurance collected for, by, or on behalf of the Registered User, including personal insurance as well as any insurance provided by the league, school, team, and association affiliated with the team and/or Registered User.
RIP-IT shall have no responsibility or liability hereunder unless:
- The injury was the direct result of a ball impact to the helmet shell from either 1 FOR SOFTBALL: an 11” or 12” softball approved for play in ASA or USSSA, or 2 FOR BASEBALL: a 9” to 9.25” baseball approved for play by Little League, the National Federation of High Schools, the NCAA, or Major League Baseball.
- The registered Batting Helmet was used by the Registered User in accordance with the printed instructions accompanying this policy; and
- A written notice of the injury is received by RIP-IT within thirty (30) days after the occurrence of the injury; and
- The written notice is substantiated by a statement of a licensed doctor providing necessary medical treatment within thirty (30) days after the date of injury and a statement of a participating game official, if a supervised contest, or a supervising coach, if a practice session, declaring that the registered Batting Helmet was in proper use at the time of injury; and
- The registered Batting Helmet unit is returned to RIP-IT with the written notice of the Registered User's injury. The registered Batting Helmet shall become the property of RIP-IT upon receipt of return.
RIP-IT reserves the right to require an independent medical examination of the Registered User from a doctor of its choosing, and shall pay all costs associated with said medical examination if requested of user.
This policy is made in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranty for a particular purpose and any implied warranty arising out of a course of a dealing, custom, usage or trade. Except as is otherwise expressly provided herein, RIP-IT disclaims all liability for loss, injury or damage based upon negligent design or defects in materials and workmanship for the registered Batting Helmet.
