OpenRIP Symphony is a state-of-the-art software RIP built on RIPit’s award-winning,
core technology. In addition to driving over one hundred output devices, such as
imagesetters, platesetters, laser printers, inkjet printers and plotters natively; it
can also control a wide range of PostScript and TIFF-in devices, including digital
copiers and digital presses, from a single interface.
OpenRIP Symphony features the Adobe® PostScript® 3 interpreter for the highest
level of compatibility with modern graphics applications. It integrates scanning,
trapping, proofing, and imposition in a single package, and provides those features
to any output device that can accept PostScript or TIFF files. OpenRIP Symphony
automates screening settings, trapping, plate templating, imposition (including crop
marks, registration marks, color bars, and page information) and application of
linearization and dot gain compensation. Once the customer has applied any number
of standard workflow profiles, or Print Queues, in OpenRIP Symphony; any number
of jobs can go through the same workflow processes (depending on Queue chosen).
